TRAIN TICKET

Banglalink has launched mobile train ticket service in joint collaboration with cns limited and bangladesh railway.

through this service, railway passengers now will be able to purchase their train ticket from their own banglalink mobile phone as well as from approximately 1500 “banglalink mobile cash points” located at Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Sylhet. railway passengers now don’t have to rush to the stations and wait in the long queue for purchasing their train tickets.

once the ticket is purchased either from own mobile or through the banglalink mobile cash points, passengers will receive an e-ticket with e-ticket number in their mobile phone as reply sms. passengers can go to source/starting station just an hour before the journey time and take printed ticket by mentioning the e-ticket number and his/her mobile number (which was used for mobile ticketing).

the service will add value to the bangladesh railway passengers in purchasing the train tickets with increased reach, reduced costs, convenience and speed.

service details

using banglalink mobile ticketing service, bd rail passengers can buy railway ticket in following ways

mobile ticketing from subscribers’ own mobile

·         individual banglalink subscriber will be able to purchase railway ticket form their own handset using the money wallet balance.

mobile ticketing at the banglalink mobile cash point

·         railway passengers will be able to purchase railway ticket form banglalink mobile cash point marked outlets and receive money receipt with unique transaction id

destination/source station

currently the mobile ticketing will be available as per following criteria:

source station:

– dhaka kamalapur
– dhaka airport
– chittagong
– sylhet
– rajshahi
– khulna

destination station:

– all destination stations where train initiated from the defined source stations as above

number of mobile cash points:

– approx 1500 mobile cash points rolled out in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi and khulna
– number of points will be increased gradually

special note on mobile ticket purchase by customer’s own banglalink mobile*

1.     two (2) tickets can be purchased using a single mobile number for different destinations within 30 days
for a particular destination one (1) ticket can be purchased using a single mobile number within 30 days.

2.     maximum 4 passengers can travel with one ticket

3.     passengers can use banglalink mobile ticketing service to buy maximum 5 days advance ticket (e.g. tickets for journey date 24th july can be purchased from 20th july)

4.     passengers must have to receive paper tickets from the designated counters at source stations using the ticket pin (received with confirmation sms) and passenger mobile number

*these conditions are depending on Bangladesh Railway directives and may change from time to time.

charges

service charge structure for the mobile ticketing:

·         • tk. 21 (including sd + vat + sc) for every seat (passenger)
– every train ticket can accommodate maximum 4 passengers

direct ticket purchase from retailer

·         customers will visit nearby mobile cash points and request for railway ticket purchase

·         customers will provide the following information for recharge
– source station
– destination station
– journey date
– journey class
– number of tickets
– his/her own mobile number

·         after retailer executes the transaction customer will receive e-ticket in his/her mobile as follows:

·         customers must have to obtain the printed train ticket from the source station at least one hour before the journey date using his/her mobile number and e-ticket number.
e.g. if customer purchases ticket to travel from dhaka kamalapur, they have to print the ticket from dhaka kamalapur and cannot print the ticket from dhaka bimanbandar station.

mobile train ticket – subscriber registration

·         registration required only for ticketing from own banglalink mobile phone

·         customers can also buy ticket from nearby banglalink authorized mobile cash points

wallet refill by customer

·         customers will visit nearby mobile cash points and request for wallet refill for ticketing

·         customers will provide the following information for recharge

·         mobile number

·         amount to the loaded

·         after retailer initiates the transaction customer will receive an sms in their mobile to confirm the transaction

·         customer will confirm the transaction by typing following message
